Malaya Mine Strikes Gold?

Malaya Mine Strikes Gold?

Recently, we learned that the area where some of our Malaya Garnets are mined may be entering a new chapter.

According to our team, a Chinese gold mining company has been granted access to the region. As that operation develops, many of the local artisanal gemstone miners may either join the commercial gold mining project or relocate to other gemstone-producing areas.

It's an interesting shift because gemstone mining and gold mining often operate very differently.

Malaya Garnets are typically recovered through small-scale, artisanal mining, where individual miners and local communities work smaller deposits by hand or with limited machinery. Commercial gold mining, on the other hand, is generally larger in scale, more mechanized, and organized very differently.

At this stage, it's too early to know exactly what this means for future Malaya Garnet production. It's simply something we're keeping an eye on, and we'll continue sharing updates as we learn more.

Sometimes the story behind a gemstone changes long before the gemstone itself does. While we wait for more updates, here is an amazing read we found on Malaya Garnets and would like to share with you all!
